It's still a year away! Time to start knowing what it's all about.

With just a year before America actually turns 250 years old, we Texans find ourselves paying respects to the families of the victims from the July 4, 2025 floods in Kerr County. It will be difficult for Kerr County to be celebrating next year. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
Now is the time for our community to begin working in earnest together to plan how we are going to celebrate America's 250th Anniversary.
We encourage you to spend just 1-minute to hear this inspirational message from our beloved County Judge Chad Sims. Just click the image above to see his video.
As for Harrison County Texas America250, we have been at the forefront with the Texas America250 Commission from its beginning and continue to help citizens in Harrison County and across Texas get plugged in for this next year's worth of education and celebration events.
Our organization fosters community events that have been recognized by the Texas America250 in their quarterly newsletter. Harrison County's own Pepper Stuart is pictured in the top-left below from our Two Lights For Tomorrow Event on the downtown courthouse square on April 18, 2025 in which she gave a stellar re-enactment of three American Patriots.

It was also a great pleasure for Harrison County to join the leadership team from the Texas America250 Commission and Rosie Rios, National Chair of America250, in Austin, TX as the Real Places Conference on April 24, 2025. Rosie shared inspirational details for many of the plans being made nationally.

We invite all of our citizens to participate by joining in our year-long efforts in education and celebration events marking this momentous milestone.
